Sometime four years ago  Philippine Culture, visual arts, historical artifacts, memorabilia as my main products for online trading.   The discipline of  trading arts online / cross-border, having an online gallery - Dekada Arts Philippines is very different compared to other products you would see me selling now online.     It is also possible my hyper personality keeps me engaged with things I sell. That is why I am not just contented with selling art pieces of national, contemporary and emerging artists before, you would see to doing extensive research about arts and the artists, studied about art appreciation and forensic arts authentication in Sacramento California.   It is an informal study, nothing of a degree level, I feel I needed it for before for business., it is only up to that, nothing fancy.

Eventually I felt the urge to draw, sketch, paint, sculpt, animate with my own hands.  Later on due to being technically incline I enjoy basic walk though, animation and for online business - practical reasons, I focused on  photoshop.

I can't consider my self expert of any medium for any art discipline, I am interested with so many things in life I can't be confine in one, or two, or three things.  I have this feeling life is short that is why always need to move on, and do something.

Yet.,  I like to have a certain degree of mastery in things I am interested at, I may not achieve the full extent of things I try to learn, but I work on it until such time I can make use of what I've  learn to  make money, or at the very least I can use what I have learn to save money.

----------------------------------------
FOR ARTS --- I did ask around 3 personal trainers to teach me how to draw.    Almost all the trainers I engage with, in different sessions,  would start training me with nude sketching with me somehow ending up on the paper or on canvas.

It take me awhile before I realized,
the nude sketch is somewhat resembling me.

There are times I am thinking what if I can really bare it all ..., and if ever can have it visual?

How I wish I can for the sake of art, before I am too old  to do it.  Maybe? Let us see.

Title: The beauty of Imperfection by Sangre 2010 - Eireen Diokno-Bernardo

One of my very first experiments with oil pastel. Normally my drawings are meant to help me organize what I feel. It is like writing expect there is no words; the strokes and the gradients of two to three colors rendered to tell a story maybe only I can read.

I may not have so much effort to make a realistic portraiture; my images are focused on self perception. My drawings would like to show the beauty of a woman's imperfections, her soul's inner communion with God, her desire for peace and humility in her solitude

You are an artist, you architect your own house, designed and layout your own fruit farm.

Happy mother's day mommy! You are to us a perfect example of womanhood, chastity, generosity, career. determination, survival and achievement. Coming from Bulan Sursogon to Manila with nothing except being an original scholar ng bayan at University of the Philippine -- to being a wife age 17-- to being a Toyota law scholar at the Ateneo de Manila with 6 young children age 28 -- to a struggling entrepreneur -- to being a successful lawyer for civil, corporate and family court cases.., to being a loving grandmother to Cheska, Aex, Aegis, Eiwell, Erika and Eyra.

You adapted individuals, you have helped countless people. You even love Gilbert., our best friends, our help/s, our assistant/s and considered our husbands as if they are your very own. Im sure Eiza, Eva, Yoyi, Eijet and maybe Eric feel the same way.

You show us what is survival and what is living all about. Three times you cheated death, I'm so grateful you fought hard so you can still live for us. I know as your eldest I am the most stubborn among your children but you never turned your back on me
when I needed to straighten my life. Now even without me asking, immediately you step in to help  and Angelo.

Mommy thank you po. I am HAPPY YOU ARE MY MOTHER.

Title -  Prism of Invisibility
Sangre  2011
Mix Media - Acrylic & Lacquer Paint on Black Canvass

--------------------------------------------
Sometimes God speak in so many ways to someone who needs to hear.

If I speak human or angelic languages but do not have love, I am a sounding like a gong or a clanging cymbal.

If I have the gift of prophecy and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith so that I can move mountains but do not have love, I am nothing.

And if I donate all my goods to feed the poor, and if I give my body in order to boast but do not have love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient.
Love is kind.

Love does not envy, is not boastful, is not conceited, does not act improperly, is not selfish,
is not provoked, and does not keep a record of wrongs.

Love finds no joy in unrighteousness but rejoices in the truth.

It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Love never ends. (1 Corinthians 13:1-8 HCSB)

Why do you need someone?
Why do you need to have someone to enjoy your life with?

Why do you need specs of color and splash with the depth of nothingness?

Why do you like to fly, soar the air with your wings hoping you will find someone at

the end of stem, resting as if waiting for you.., Why?

Why do you imagine?

Why do you need someone?

What is a beautiful woman?
One that has gone through the torment and the triumph of time.

One that has endured multiple failures, and still come out victorious.

One who understand pain, lashes and blows from people she loves and still continue to love.

One who is un-proportion, who can be small or tall, fat or skinny, you may have a small breast, big breast, curly hair, straight hair, fair, black or white, with uneven teeth, flat nose, deformed left eye, DIFFERENT AND STILL HAPPY, THAT IS A BEAUTIFUL WOMAN.

    Madam Sangre

I discover I can create images using water color when I was 13 years old.

I started doing basic landscape to give impression for bible verses that inspire me during that time.

When the water color runs out I eventually start using pencil charcoal, it is the most available medium I can find during those days; with that I discover I can mimic figures, faces, animal and capture my impression of their emotions. I find peace in doing it.

Most of my drawings became  gift to my friends in Jesus Flock Fellowship a Christian Fundamentalist group which is my church until now.

When I was 16 I tried getting into College of Fine Arts in UP, unfortunately I failed the talent determination exam. In away maybe that is the reason why I stop drawing.

Twenty six years later 2010 because of Dekada Arts Philippines, the many artists it has discovered and has business with--- also because of the influence of UP Professor Master of Fine Arts, YALE graduate, hailed as the Father of Abstract Impressionism in the Philippines Mr. Constancio Bernardo, my  love for the arts and visual expression was awaken and found my self drawing again.

    Picture
It was Mrs. Norma Lionggoren who in a way supported me in my earl venture in to art trading.   She introduces me to her own best practices in the field of
art collection, art valuation and appreciation, preservation and cultural contribution.

Tita Norma gave me ideas who are the contemporary artists I can start leveraging with.  I feel I have learn from the best.

Most of my art trading is done online through Dekada Arts Philippines.  The world wide web provided me leads and opportunity to be part and bring Filipino artistd to California, San Francisco, New York and Singapore.

Eventually I started to produce my own exhibits, featuring local Filipino artists I have personally selected. The first art show I have produce is  "BUHAY at BIYAYA" at Sining Kamalig Gateway Mall.  It was attended by 300 guests composing of art collectors, critics, family and friends.

I have managed several artists eventually almost every one of them became successful and their artworks reach to a  point their values became too expensive  for my business. My art business may appear successful because of the many succeeding shows I am producing but as I go on to a certain extend the earnings compared to the efforts is not compensating.

So to augment initially my intention to paint again is have stocks of cheap paintings I can
     sell on my online store.
A lot of my friends  find that ironically funny, I too is
also laughing with that business strategy  but through many of my experimentation,
using different mediums and materials to produce my own inventories, I find my self expressing my inner personal thoughts on canvass.

Working with so many surreal expressionist, listening to so many visual artist I know where they are getting their inspiration for their great images.

In my case it came very natural; my images speaks of how I feel and  what is important to me.  I enjoy creating these things and it gets very personal.  Sometimes when my art work gets sold it is hard to let go.

I think I was able to produced around 30 paintings between 2010-2011 almost all are sold.  A lot of which is in Singapore and US. A few are acquired in the Philippines and one in UK.

I have picture of them somewhere in my computer folder.  I hope eventually I will catalog all of them in this page.
